About UPPSC RO ARO Recruitment ,

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Review Officer will conduct preliminary written examination for recruitment to 337 posts of Assistant Review Officer and Assistant Review Officer Account. All the interested candidates filled their online application form for these posts. The application form submission process is conducted online. Applications are invited from 05 March 2021 to 05 April 2021.

UPPSC RO ARO test

All those eligible candidates who had successfully filled there application form will face the exam. Pre exam will be conducted 05 December 2021 and Main Exam will be held on 24th, 25th and 26th April 2022, More details are as given below.

So, here we are providing the latest syllabus and exam pattern of RO and ARO Pre exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC).

Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern for RO & ARO written exam is as follows:-

The preliminary written test will be of objective type multiple choice.
There will be two papers in this exam.

there will be negative marking of one third (0.33) marks out of the allotted marks.
The time duration of Paper-I and Paper-II will be 02:00 hours and 01:00 hours respectively.

Given below is the exam syllabus for RO ARO written exam:

Paper – I (general Studies)

general Studies : The General Studies paper will consist of questions on the following topics:-

1. general Science,
2. history of India,
3. Indian National Movement,
4. Indian Polity, Economy and Culture,
5. Indian agriculture, commerce and trade.
6. Population, Ecology and Urbanization (with reference to India)
7. World Geography and Geography and Natural Resources of India.
8. Current national and international important events.
9. Ordinary intellectuals.
10. Special knowledge about education, culture, agriculture, industry, trade, living and social traditions of Uttar Pradesh.

general Science : The question of general science would involve a general appreciation and understanding of science, including matters of everyday observation and experience, as might be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of a scientific subject.

Current Events of National and International Importance: Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, General Science, General Knowledge. Mainly the focus will be on national and international news, important dates, current affairs of science, technology, sports and culture.

history of India : History of India The emphasis should be on a comprehensive understanding of the economic, social, cultural and political aspects of Indian history.

Indian National Movement: In the Indian National Movement, candidates are expected to have a brief view of the nature and character of the Indian independence movement, the growth of nationalism and the attainment of independence.

Indian Politics and Economy: In Indian Polity and Economy, the questions will test the candidate’s knowledge related to Indian Polity including the Indian Constitution. Broad features of Panchayati Raj and Community Development, Indian Economy and Planning.

World Geography and Population: In World Geography and Population, a general understanding of the subject will be expected with emphasis on the physical/ecological, economic and socio-demographic aspects of the Geography of India.

Ordinary Intellectuals: Focus on Comprehensive Reasoning, Venn Diagram, Number Series, Coding and De-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement and Conclusion Type Questions, Arithmetic Reasoning, Arithmetic Number Series, Non-Verbal Series, Syllogistic Reasoning, Seating Arrangement.

Paper II (general Hindi)

(1) Opposite (10 words)
(2) Sentences and Corrections in Preparation (10 Sentences)
(3) One word for many words (10 words)
(4) Words of similar usage and similar nature (10 words)
(5) As a noun defined by an adjective and an adjective (10 words)
(6) Synonyms (10 words)

There will be three questions in this paper. Essay will have to be written by selecting one title (A/B/C) from each question (within given word limit)
