The Tripura Board of Secondary Education was established in 1973 by an Act (Tripura Act No. 12), called the Tripura Board of Secondary Education Act, 1973, as passed by the Tripura Legislative Assembly. This board holds the sole responsibility of conducting the examination annually for Secondary (High School aka 10th) and Higher Secondary (Intermediate aka 12th) Education in the month of March, which is every year in the first week of April. ends.
